When thermostats are in the closed position heat increase over time is based on the engine’s physical ability to create the heat. Therefore, the time to reach a specific temperature does not change. For example, the factory thermostat and the SPE thermostat will reach 175° in the same amount of time. The only thing that affects the time to reach opening temp, is ambient temps which will affect both thermostats the same way. To summarize, the only thing that changes is the overall temperature, not how long it takes to get to that temperature.
**The high flow ability of the SPE thermostat has been engineered to help with how quickly it can cool and maintain temperature. This has no effect on how long it takes to get up to opening temperature since it's in the closed position up to that point.

I asked my Ford Dealer about installing this thermostat and they thought it might void Ford’s warranty. Any thoughts on this? Thank you.
If these trucks benefit from running 20 degrees cooler, why did Ford not select that thermostat from the jump? Seems like you have to be giving up either performance, efficiency, or both. Yall make awesome stuff, I’m just on the fence about this one..
how much would this help a deleted daily driver
Works exactly as advertised. I live in Hawaii where we have hot climates along with steep grade highways. On a stock 6.7 t-stat I would get up to 200° water 210° oil temps on steep grades. With the spe t-stat on same grade I see 180° water 190° oil temps.

Hi I put the SPE Thermostat on my 2018 F450 the good thing about it is it cools down faster and maintains temp when I’m going up the hills pulling my Wally-mo four car carrier . Great product Dan Thank you
