Who wants a turnkey diesel Pro Mod for $75,000? You read that correctly. Flyin’ Diesel Performance & Offroad’s Jon Morris is willing to let this nearly-finished, Cummins-powered monstrosity go for just 75 large, and it’s got the works. Carrillo rods, main girdle, fly-cut Mahle pistons, internally balanced, ARP fasteners top to bottom, ported and fire-ringed head with oversize valves, DDP 400-percent over injectors and stroker CP3, 98mm GT55, you get the idea… The competition-ready Cummins sits in a Jerry Bickel-built chassis and was even formerly owned by Bill Fletcher. Trust us, you couldn’t come close to building a truck of this caliber for this amount of money…
The truck we all dreamed of having as kids, the SVT Lightning, will always be an icon for truck people. Well, we found a good one for those looking to pick one up. This 2001 F150 Lightning has only 20 thousand miles on the clock, and wow, it's pristine. It's completely stock save for an air filter and exhaust. With the recent surge of Lightnings on auction sites, these trucks have entered the collectible classic stage and, as it appears, will only grow in value. So go ahead and pick one up, you can tell your spouse it was an investment (cause it is!).

Former world record-holder, multiple year U.C.C. competitor, and 6.0L Power Stroke fanatic, Shawn Ellerton, has a 15-year-old son—a son who’s also crazy about 6.0L’s and wanted to build one to take to the local truck pulls. So, the two teamed up to build a truck to take to Alberta Diesel Day. Using three trucks to create one, the duo transformed a crew cab long bed chassis into a regular cab long box chassis and also robbed a cab off of a 5.4L Triton-powered regular cab Super Duty. The 6.0L under the hood was treated to Warren Diesel 205/100 injectors, an S363 in place of the factory VGT, and Innovative Speed Shop tuning.
Aluminum body Super Duty, Fleece billet-aluminum block Cummins, and GM IFS?! No, Truck Source Diesel’s Chris Buhidar hasn’t lost his mind, he’s just trying something new—and it should obliterate the drag strip once it’s finished. “There aren’t many alumiduty trucks racing, especially at this level. The goal is to have the truck look more like an X275 car than a Pro Mod.” A tube-chassis frame will be affixed with a GM AAM 925 style independent front suspension, be wrapped in a ’20-’22 aluminum Ford body, and powered by a wicked, 4,000hp capable Cummins from Freedom Racing Engines. Give TSD a follow to keep up with this one-of-a-kind build.

Gifted diesel drag racer, Dante Delaney, is about to show the world how easy it is to go 7.70 Index racing. It all starts with a lightweight chassis, and Dante’s recent acquirement of the regular cab, classic body Silverado shown here is one of the best candidates to build off of. Light weight means less horsepower needed to run the required index—and it also means less stress on the transmission and engine. Then there is old reliable: the LB7 Duramax. With just 650-rwhp or so—easily made possible with a larger turbo, a small injector and CP3 upgrade, and a mildly-built Allison—this truck will be in business. You can follow the truck’s progress on Dante’s Youtube page below.

Recent testing conducted by both Edge Products and Jelibuilt Performance confirms Ford’s 6.7L Power Stroke equipped Super Duty’s make more power than advertised. On the latter company’s load cell DynoJet chassis dyno, a standard output (475 hp and 1,050 lb-ft of torque at the crank) 2024 F-450 cleared 461 hp and 1,014 lb-ft at the wheels. Aboard the SF-849 SuperFlow at Edge, a 2025 Super Duty packing the high output version of Ford’s 6.7L Power Stroke (500 hp and 1,200 lb-ft at the crank) turned out 504 hp and 1,181 lb-ft. On the same dyno, a brand-new L5P Duramax and 6.7L Cummins made 409 hp, 910 lb-ft and 403 hp, 989 lb-ft, respectively. One thing is clear: Ford’s diesel program is eating the competition for lunch.
