The factory plastic coolant tank on the 6.7 Powerstroke is known to discolor, crack, and weaken under heat and pressure. Add performance parts, higher coolant temps, or tight compound turbo packaging, and the stock tank becomes a failure point. The SPE Primary Coolant Tank with Integrated Battery Box eliminates those issues with a fully TIG-welded aluminum assembly that replaces the OEM tank and factory battery tray in one clean, high-strength unit. That adds the esthetics your build need and deserves. There's no point in having a sweet turbo kit and flashy engine parts paired up with a dingy coolant bottle.
Designed for all 2011–2026 6.7 Powerstroke trucks, this tank improves durability, frees up engine bay space, and provides the layout needed for larger turbos, intercooler piping, dual fuelers, and other performance upgrades.
Designed and built right here in the USA!
This all-aluminum sheet metal tank and battery box combination drastically improves strength while cleaning up the entire passenger-side engine bay. The welded housing resists heat, pressure, and vibration far better than the stock plastic reservoir. A built-in sight glass provides quick and accurate coolant level checks.
The integrated design also removes unnecessary clutter, giving you a clean OEM-plus look that actually functions better than stock.
Instead of molded plastic ports that fatigue over time, the SPE tank uses replaceable billet aluminum fittings machined in-house. This gives you long-term reliability, improved sealing, and the ability to service or replace individual fittings if needed. It also ensures compatibility with high-pressure cooling systems found on built trucks.
Unlike decorative “caps” found on other aftermarket tanks, the SPE coolant tank uses a true radiator-style safety cap designed to manage system pressure correctly. The cap vents through an attached hose for controlled overflow, preventing coolant spray under the hood and ensuring the system relieves pressure safely — just like a proper cooling system should.
The integrated battery tray is engineered around the factory battery footprint for a secure, stable fit. The aluminum construction offers significantly more rigidity than the OEM plastic, and the one-piece design opens space for turbo kits, piping upgrades, or service access, all while maintaining proper cable routing and mounting geometry. We also include stainless steel battery hold down studs that resist corrosion and keeps things looking clean especially when paired with our billet hold downs.
This tank is a complete bolt-on solution. No cutting. No drilling. No fabrication.
It installs in the factory location, uses existing connection points, and comes with all necessary hardware.
The SPE Primary Coolant Tank with Integrated Battery Box is the correct upgrade for any 6.7 Powerstroke— stock, tuned, or fully built. It cleans up the engine bay, increases reliability, and supports the performance demands of modern Powerstroke builds.
